Principal's Message

July 2017

Dear Parent/Guardian:

With classrooms and halls now empty, Thompson is quiet as we have concluded another year. We experienced a special evening as we bid farewell to our 302 eighth-grade students at Tilles Center. The speeches by our students that evening as well as your many positive comments and notes I received following the ceremony are indeed reminders of what a special place Thompson is. We are fortunate to work in a district that supports the efforts to provide students with opportunities for personal and academic growth, meaningful achievements, good relationships and good decisions. We wish the HBT class of 2017 the best as they continue their journey onto the high school as the class of 2021.

The end of the year is once again a time to thank you for the opportunity to work with your children and for your support throughout the year. While we welcome our incoming parents, I also know that we are saying farewell to many of our middle school parents for the final time. We will miss you and hope that you take good memories with you. In particular, I would like to acknowledge and thank Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Park and our PTSA for their time and efforts providing ongoing support and educational programs for our students this year.

In the meantime, I hope you and your families enjoy this time together and wish a successful start to your child's high school experience in a few weeks.
