Please join us for the FIRST ANNUAL GRADE 8 GRADUATION CRUISE AROUND MANHATTAN!! Please return your permission slips and deposit ASAP to your home room teacher to reserve a place on the Luxurious "Skyline Princess". A four deck cruise liner reserved for the graduating class of 2017! DJ dancing and five star dining for all that attend.

Today's lunch specials are BBQ Chicken Apple Panini and Cheese Max Sticks with Marinara.

Amazing Seven South Woods Girls Win at Long Island Science Congress
Seven students participated in the Long Island Science Congress at St. Anthony's High School and received trophies for their hard work and dedication for presenting their innovative science projects. Honors were received by Sachi Sethi, and Michele Shleimovich.

High Honors were received by Jade Maracic, Alexa Trapani, Emma Van Dorn and Lara Weinberg. Highest Honors went to Giselle Rasquinha. This is the second year that Alexa, Emma and Lara have received trophies for their experiments.

Giselle received first place in the Most Distinguished Categorical Project for the Biology award and won $300. She also won the Research Institute Award for a $25 gift card. Giselle won $100 for her project which she researched in testing the five second rule.

Long Island Science congress paid her $100 registration fee and will give her a stipend of $150 after she goes to the competition. Giselle was selected to represent Long Island's Junior Division at the State Congress competition being held at Buffalo on Saturday, June 3, 2017. Congratulations to all our future scientists! Mrs. Stollow the coach is so proud of their hard work and challenging projects.
